Generally, high-performance teams are self-directed and are self-monitoring. The team\u2019s motivation is intrinsic as team members discover opportunities for extraordinary results once they hit their stride.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>1. Necessary elements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Common Vision that defines clear objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Deadlines for achieving objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Communication with all members.<\/li>\n<li>Regular quality reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Members are self-directed.<\/li>\n<li>No member is left behind.<\/li>\n<li>Successes are recognized and celebrated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>2. \u00a0Selecting Team Members<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">There are two kinds of high-performance teams: those whose purpose is to make decisions and those whose purpose is to implement them. Following are some recommendations for both of these purposes:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>The best and the brightest in the organization should make up this team.<\/li>\n<li>The ability and inclination to work well with others is an absolute must.<\/li>\n<li>Respect for the abilities of others is required or the team breaks down.<\/li>\n<li>A wide range of experience and knowledge is valuable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Coaching High-Performance Teams<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The coach should be selected carefully because he will play a crucial role in the success of the team. He will help the team develop its charter. He will help the team understand why it\u2019s different from other teams.
