Instead of skipping pins, split \u2018em.\u00a0You learn more about your customers\u2019 unique needs, which in turn allows to you to serve them better.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Collaborate<\/strong> \u2013 Many times staff meetings devolve to finger-pointing contests. When you\u2019re competing against giants, you need the extra advantage that comes from brilliant people \u2013 collaborating \u2013 to solve problems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Focus<\/strong> \u2013 The easiest way to be bigger than your competitor is to focus. It\u2019s hard, because there\u2019s always the distraction of opportunities you\u2019re not pursuing. Then be the best at it. Through your focus be the best in solving customer problems better than anyone else in your market within your focus area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hire stars<\/strong> \u2013 Giant-fighting startups are not places for the weak or squeamish.
